Starve Ups membership only events have been designed and refined over 18 years to assist founders and startups to survive, strive, and then thrive.
Deep Dives are a focused evening for just one of our membership companies and its founders. We begin with food and networking at the start of the evening, then we receive a 15 to 20 minute presentation by the Deep Dive recipient company.
The presentation is about the two top hurdles, or opportunities, or one of each, they are facing as a company. We then provide them feedback, advice, support and our networks for the remainder of the event.
We treat their company like it is our company and in turn we be build upon the strength of the likelihood of success for their startup. As always, all Starve Ups events are free and dinner and beverages are provided. This is a members only event and not open to the public.
Hot Seats are a focused evening for one of our membership companies and its founders specifically when there is an immediate request for support due to a hurdle or an opportunity the company is facing. We begin with food and networking at the start of the evening, then we receive a 15 to 20 minute presentation by the Hot Seat recipient company.
The presentation is about the two top hurdles, or opportunities, or one of each, they are facing as a company. We then provide them feedback, advice, support and our networks for the remainder of the event.

It is time for our Eugene Quarterly Catch Up again. Here, we invite all members of the SURVIVE and STRIVE stage Starve Ups companies to participate in this event. We begin with networking at the start of the evening, then we go around the room and get 2 minute updates from every membership company in attendance. Finally, we then silently vote for 2 to 3 companies to hear a deeper dive on.
So, please attend, get motivated, assist your peers, and leave refreshed knowing that we are all in this boat together and that there are options to improve results, minimize hurdles, and to get to the finish line. This is a membership only event and as always Starve Ups events are free and dinner and beverages will be provided. We will see you all there and please bring your best.
Once a quarter we either work to have one of our Mergers & Acquisitions Breakfasts or one of our Funding Breakfasts. This quarter we are having a M&A with one of our amazing membership companies, who was recently acquired. This is a chance to learn from your peer founders as they have completed the entire startup journey via an exit.
The event begin with networking and then we move into the actual presentation utilized for garnering suitor interest, how they built a multiple bidder process, the support they brought on from an M&A advisor or banker, we receive the pitch provided to buyer, and then we discuss the approach for completing the sale of their startup.
So, join this membership only event where we hear from our peer founders, over a breakfast, on how their exit was completed.
Once a quarter we either work to have one of our Mergers & Acquisitions Breakfasts or one of our Funding Breakfasts. This quarter we are having a Funding Breakfast with one of our amazing membership companies, who recently closed a major funding round and are prepared to share best practices, deal terms, momentum creation approaches, etc.
The event begin with networking and then we move into the actual presentation utilized for raising funds, we receive the pitch provided to investors and funds, and then we discuss the approach for completing the round.
So, join this membership only event where we hear from our peer founders, over a breakfast, on how their funding path went from zero investors to too many in a matter of months.
Each year we start out the New Year with our Annual Partnership Breakfast as a way to build on the 12 months in front of us all. During this breakfast everyone gets the opportunity to get pitched by our newest Membership Companies again and our Strategic Partners present to them in return.
It is a great exchange and allows for our newest members to understand the positive impact our partners have had on the group, individual membership companies, and begins to build those relationships. It also provides them the chance to understand their primary value proposition and startup specific services.
So, please attend and bring up to two of your team members and let’s talk about the years ahead for our newest membership class and how we can collectively scale them. Breakfast will be provided and we look forward to seeing you all.
It is that time of the year again where we invite all of membership companies, along with the spouses and loved ones, to an evening of celebration and reflection on another great year. We will also get the opportunity to meet our newest membership companies as they pitch us their startups, and what they hope to get out of Starve Ups, over the course of their company. You’ll dig the new members for sure as they are where you were just a few years ago.
