Have you ever wondered how to pronounce someone’s name? Or do people have difficulty pronouncing your name? If yes, then you must be familiar with 'those' awkward social and business introductions. Our mission is to eliminate awkward introductions and help people build better multi-cultural relationships.

The Company

The concept was pitched at Startup Weekend Portland in April 2011. It was identified as a small idea with the potential to positively impact a large number of people. After winning the Judges Award, the founder quit her job to pursue Audioname full time. Audioname is one of the Portland Seed Fund portfolio companies. It is being mentored by Nitin Khanna, CEO of Mergertech and supported by the thriving entrepreneur community in Portland. In October 2011, Audioname won the concept stage competition award at Bend Venture Conference.

Early adopters include professional service organizations (law firms, real estate firms, physician offices, HR recruiting firms) and globally distributed teams. Individuals with hard to pronounce names, absolutely love Audioname.
